Late? Me?! As if…
So after 6 months of on again off again blogging I am back with a determined tone of voice and a desperate need of your help.
Over the next week I will be displaying 5 different templates that I have been working on for this dear blog. I have been looking at them with various level of contempt for a while now and can’t see what I am looking at anymore. So don’t say anything yet (unless it’s broken on your browser or hurts your eyes or similar) tell me which one of them sucks the least PLEASE!
But anyway on with todays post.
Things that have changed. Well, my house is no longer empty. Between the last post and today I was sick with one of those ‘it’s not flu but it hurts my throat and my head and my nose’ things. For a week the only time I got out of bed was to stagger to the loo and then back. I saw nobody and spoke mostly to my bosses answer-machine as I croaked in each day. It was fun with a capital F-U-N.
Then the two lovely people that moved into the flat below the flat from hell called saying that the landlord from hell was doing his very very worst and did I still have that space room? Well, yes… It was full of unpacked boxes that had been calling me names for a while and there were snotty tissues everywhere but sure they could come round in half an hour (with a mother in tow!). So I got dressed, ran around throwing things in cupboards and opened a couple of windows in an attempt to look ‘normal’. Luckily they know me so weren’t bothered by the fact I looked like a crazed lunatic while I went on a charm offensive with the mother… you know, the talking too much about absolute nonsense thing we’ve all done. Don’t try and deny it.
About 2 hours later they started moving stuff in.
Jesus, they’re organised. By Tuesday and my return to work the place looked AMAZING. Not the half moved in rubbish that I would have had it at for at least the next month.
Everything is great. Today the Virgin guy came and installed boxes everywhere in the house giving me the ability to finally watch Heroes and all the other good stuff I’ve been missing. Just saw an excellent advert telling that Season 3 of Grey’s Anatomy is coming soon… and tomorrow the final episode of Season 2 is on.
Oh, and I have a proper back yard which is the perfect size for a BBQ so the next things on my list to buy (along with all the shelves in the known universe) are table and chairs for outside and a big barbecue and an outside cooler things and maybe one of those chiminea things that will mean we can sit outside until late instead of feeling a bit chilly and having to go inside again.
I am going to spend time outside this summer. Oh yes… especially because the wireless reaches to where I am planning to have the table! ![]()
Right, now I am going to watch The Wedding Planner because you just can’t get enough Matthew McConaughey!

Yay you are back!
I am more than willing to help out while you test drive your new templates!
Thanks Hilly. I’ll be putting the next one up later… assuming Grey’s Anatomy isn’t too upsettng
I remembered last night that you were supposed to be back then and you weren’t. I thought “It’s half ten, she hasn’t got long left.” I guess I should have checked again when I was watching the hockey.
It was very close to the wire - there was a whole moment where nothing would upload - it may be time to switch hosting companies!
Finally! Geez, where have you been?
Well its about time you got back. Where do I mail the chocolets to now? I’m sure yu are more them ready for some. And when do we get pictures of your new place?
Karl - yes am rubbish. Go on, tut away.
Lia - pics of new place - as soon as i tidy up!
